Astrology

Human beings have always shared a deep interest in the sky, and an ever-flowing care for astronomy, Astrology, the patterns of weather, and the means to calculate calendars has been woven into our being from the very beginning.

To the Ancients, however, Astrology was the supreme kingdom of clarity, a support to our understanding of all that is written above, and a means to foresee even more.

Our earliest study, it was held in the highest esteem throughout the world, its power to explain conferring on it a prominence grander than any ruler or empire.

The Ancients relied on Astrology as their most solemn and precious guide, and it is said that Astrology antedates all of recorded history, and its roots reach way before even that time when the gods walked on earth alongside man.

The importance of Astrology cannot be expressed in a few paragraphs. To put it simply, it assists us in making the most of our lives by providing us with a star map of our birth, and through that map and the help of a skilled Astrologer, we will be able to decode the clues of the galactic prophecy for us.

The wisdom that can come from an Astrological reading is limitless, and there is no area of one’s life that cannot be further clarified or better understood through working with Astrology.

Through the wise compass this fascinating study provides, we can pinpoint our life’s purpose, understand our most significant karmic tendencies, and the malefic influences and dangers we face. It can support us in knowing what career we will excel in, and what is destined for us in terms of our relationships and family. It can help us better understand our body, our health, our healing needs and our overall persona.

A divine study in interconnectedness is Astrology, that does not treat any one person as a totally separate entity, it is rooted in the understanding that we are all made up of elements, stardust and infinite universes.

In Astrology we do not think in terms of a fate or destiny that is “written in the stars” in a fixed sense, but rather in the power of our own ability to work with the fates through acquiring such knowledge.

Astrology gives us a map, an understanding of our world and ourselves and is an encouragement to make the most of our precious life.

To maximize the value of Astrology in your life and in your understanding of the world around you, it is important to know that such studies are in-depth and not based simply on something as mundane as one’s Zodiac sign. A real understanding of your star map requires decoding by a skilled practitioner, who can learn about its message through deconstructing its parts, zooming into each and every part, and learning about the evolution of each message. To do this one must have an accurate time of birth, as well as the date and place of birth. The more accurate this information the more accurate your star map will be.

Working with the planets, their transits, the Sun, the Moon and various astronomical events, one has direct tools to assist in prophesying what will happen in our world and in our lives.

The word Astrology comes from the early Latin word astrologia, which derives from the Greek ἀστρολογία—from ἄστρον astron (“star”) and –λογία -logia, (study of or account of the stars). Astrologia later passed into meaning “star-divination” with astronomia used for the scientific term.

It would be fair to say that Astrology was practiced by all the civilizations of antiquity and predates almost all the holy writings of religion and philosophy. There are extant records of markings on bones and caves, calculating lunar cycles and cosmic patterns, that date back 25,000 to 35,000 years. Ancient cave paintings at Lascaux in France record a star map of our Summer Triangle and other significant constellations.

Many of the ancient systems are still practiced to this day. The Ancient Greeks developed a very elaborate style of Astrology, and much of our western Astrological organism depends on and is based on their system.

The Vedic system of India is still very potent and continues to serve a significant purpose for every caste and tribe.

In China, Astrologers are routinely consulted to help in businesses and to give insight when considering partnerships.

There are many cultures that still heavily rely on Astrology.

Because the times we live in are ever more challenging now, I couldn’t think of a better time to understand the importance and benefits of Astrology, to trace the maps of the stars within us, to learn from the ever-changing cosmic voice that sings loudly and frequently with its messages for our world. We need to listen; we need to trust in this ancient and noble study that is thankfully still available to us today!
